The receptionist at the front desk is the absolute worst! I’ve been going here for basically my whole life and it’s gotten worse over the years, if the scheduling people are so miserable why don’t they quit instead of taking it out on patients? I literally had to leave because I was about to scream at them for their level of disrespect. This place treats you like a number not a person.

New to Asheville and have to say this is the WORST doctor's office I have ever come in contact with. I have very serious and life threatening medical conditions if medications, infusions and so on are not completed. I have a port that requires a home health nurse to access so I can have my fluids at home as I have an extremely high output ostomy that requires fluids to prevent dangerous dehydration. I have low Potassium and Magnesium, which when it becomes critical it can cause a heart attack or be fatal. I have so many other things as a result of the above as well as Chronic Pain, Severe Crohn's hence the ostomy, Fibromyalgia, RA and more sadly. This office location was the first that could get me in and the lady initially that took my call wasn't the friendliest but wasn't the worst. I kept the appointment, went through all of the paperwork and online setup and waited my month or so to be seen by a NP because she had appointments before a PCP did. Finally 2 weeks ago it was the day of the appointment and I received a phone call before 8am even to tell me that the NP had a family emergency so they would have to reschedule. Absolutely putrid attitude from the woman who answered the phone. I called at 11:18am was told i would be called back in the order that I was on hold in, over an hour goes by it is now 12:35pm call back ms mariana answers the phone already seeming annoyed, as I tell her i’ve been waiting for over an hour she cuts me off to very rudely say “I don’t know how you have been on hold for over an hour but what’s your date of birth” and I paused and said excuse me? For her to even more aggressively yell at me for my date of birth. Like yes, it has been lady i see the time stamps in my phone. Unbelievable customer service and absolutely sickening to be coming from a healthcare ‘professional’ when vulnerable people are coming to you to help. I really do hope the phone calls are recorded as it states because with that attitude it’s definitely not her first time treating someone like that.

Dr. Hendry is absolutely the best! It took me a while to find the right doctor, and after seeing several providers at Family Health Centers, I can confidently say she stands out. She is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and always takes the time to listen to my concerns. What I appreciate most is how genuinely invested she is in my health and well-being. She explains things clearly and in a way that’s easy to understand, which helps me feel informed and confident about my care. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate and exceptional physician.

Doctors are ok but the nurses/office reps not so much. Most of the times they are sick… like really sick, coughing and snorting and still working. Specially bad when there’s old or immunocompromised people coming in/out. Very irresponsible not to give them sick paid leave. Their attitude is also abysmally bad. It’s just a revolving door of patients and they don’t care. It used to be so much better before, not sure what happened. Maybe the change in leadership? Hope they get their act together since there’s good doctors there.
